Video Share Policy

For spots produced at no charge to you:

Your “Value Added Programming” and “Editorial Programming” (Local News, Nightlife, Top 5, etc.) spots are only permitted to be republished using the Share System. The Share System consists of embed code and direct links we provide for inclusion of your spots on most websites. This option is not compatible with YouTube and other “video upload” websites; therefore, all VAP Programming and Editorial Programming spots are prohibited from being republished on YouTube and other video upload websites. For your website and other sites such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest, you can use the direct link and/or embed code from the Share System, which we can provide at no charge. You may also request a HD Digital Dub of a programming/editorial spot, which is subject to $45 HD Digital Dub charge. Please note that all programming/editorial content is owned by Destination Network and distribution is at our sole discretion.

NOTE: Video footage shot and produced by us as Programming/Editorial is copyrighted by Destination Network for the private use of our audience. Any other use of our Programming/Editorial video footage without Destination Network’s documented consent is strictly prohibited.

For paid-production spots:

If you want to use your paid spot online, we can make your spot available via the Share System, which works on most websites. However, if you would like to use your spot on YouTube or other “video upload” website… or within a Mobile App, you will need a special encoding of your video. We charge $100 for a single video and $200 for multiple videos for paid-spot services. You may also request a HD Digital Dub of a paid spot, which is subject to $45 HD Digital Dub charge.

Why do we have this policy?

We have a vested interest in maintaining reasonable protection and control of our Value Added Programming and Editorial Video Content. The time and resources used to write, produce and edit this type of content is quite extensive. We prefer to have our online viewers watch these episodes on our station websites, so we can help show interested travelers all there is to see and experience in our featured travel destinations. We realize clients like to show some of the VAP/Editorial spots in which they have participated on their websites, so we have made the Share System work with as many website formats as possible (clients sites, blogs, Facebook, Twitter, etc). Unfortunately, these do not work with video upload websites, like YouTube.

NOTE: Video footage shot and produced by us as Programming/Editorial is copyrighted by Destination Network for the private use of our audience. Any other use of our Programming/Editorial video footage without Destination Network’s documented consent is strictly prohibited.

For the spots you have paid us to produce, we will gladly make them available in whatever format you need, including YouTube, mobile apps and more. A small encoding charge will apply.

Thanks for allowing us to serve you and please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
